The RAAF Welfare Recreational Company (RWRC) is a not for profit organisation that is Trustee of the RAAF Central Welfare Trust Fund. They provide access to discounted but high quality, recreational accommodation in both Australia and overseas, for RAAF members, their families and other eligible persons. They manage and promote these accommodations whilst providing financial support for the provision of such facilities for RAAF members.
Their website was unprofessional and did not reflect their standing within the community. This meant that bookings were low because people did not trust that they were providing a legitimate service. A further problem which contributed to the low bookings was the booking process – which was too complicated and confusing.
Cornerstone Digital created a new professional website that identified it within the RAAF brand. A user-friendly CMS was installed, which allowed staff to update content and change images easily. The navigation was designed to be simple and easy to use, with clearly marked tabs – so people could quickly check on the availability of accommodation and make bookings.
The aesthetics of the website was improved by selecting enticing images, having a gallery which presented a variety of holiday locations, a simple colour scheme and large navigation buttons.
Cornerstone Digital delivered to the RAAF a professional, smart website that instils trust and confidence in their members. Following the launch, traffic to their website increased notably, but the biggest impact was in the number of bookings – it was clear that people had not trusted the old site. With the new website, the RAAF are now looking forward to a bright future.
