Logo Design Using A.I.

Artificial intelligence is a hot topic right now. We have the likes of Google, Facebook, IBM and a whole host of other companies trying to develop and use artificial intelligence to make its services faster, better and cheaper. We will soon see more artificially intelligent driven services with computers giving us the solutions regardless of the scenario.

As an example, we recently came across a logo design tool called LogoJoy that uses artificial intelligence to come up with unique custom logo designs based on your answers to a number of questions. Once done, it automatically generates all the design files you would need. Here is our test drive of the solution.

First, you pick logos you like that Logojoy uses as inspiration.

Second, you pick colours you like. Hovering over the colours shows you what that colour set represents so that you can pick colours that match the feel that you’re after.

Next, you enter your company name and a slogan.

You then search and pick for 5 symbols that reflects your brand.

Done! Logojoy then generates a bunch of designs, which you scroll through and choose your favourite to refine.

After picking your favourite, you get a preview of your logo, you can change fonts, colours, layouts and other aspects of the design. What I like best is that Logojoy then puts your design on collateral such as business cards, clothing, signage, stationery and other materials which allows you to visualise your new brand being in use.

Once you’re happy with the design, click Buy and you’re given 3 packages to choose from. They range in cost from US$20 for the Basic package to US$165 for the Enterprise package where you get an hour of design time to help you make your new brand even better. You get all the files and formats you would ever need in one low price.

Logojoy is a great solution for those on a budget and want lots of options and flexibility. You can go back and forth as many times as you want changing elements and seeing what Logojoy produces without additional costs. Try doing that with a human designer and you’ll soon be looking for a new one or paying for the extra time.

Luckily, Logojoy hasn’t moved into website design and development or else we may not have a job! It will only be a matter of time before A.I. moves into more and more creative areas. Until then, if you’re looking at implementing online strategies that help you grow, come talk to us.
